Youngster Rodgers Kwemoi starts his international career in Japan in 2015 where he competes for the Asian Kogyo corporate team. He also competes at the World Cross Country Championships where he finishes tenth in the junior race. Rodgers continues his journey in Japan in 2016 and competes at the world junior trials in Kenya. He wins the 10,000m race and travels to Bydgodszcz to represent Kenya. There, Rodgers makes it a fast race and clocks a 57-second last lap to win the gold medal in a new championship record of 27:25.23.
In the fall of 2016, Rodgers makes his road race debut by running the Tilburg 10 miles in the Netherlands. He won the race by outsprinting his opponents in the final meters.
